R.M. Pat Patrick, J.D., P.E. is the President of Air Consulting and Engineering Solutions (ACES) and manages the employee-owned environmental solutions firm in Houston, Texas. The firm specializes in solving complex environmental compliance problems through cost-effective engineering approaches. The firm is composed of approximately 20 engineers and scientists who conduct air quality related projects for industrial clients located in the gulf coast. Formerly, Mr. Patrick was Vice President of IT Corporation and managed the Southeast Region of Consulting and Technology. In that position, he was responsible for business development and staff management related to environmental, health and safety management services for clients in the Southeast Region. Mr. Patrick has over 25 years of experience with more than 20 years in air quality and compliance related environmental work. He has conducted a wide range of air permitting, emissions inventory, air dispersion modeling, and compliance assessment projects for industrial clients and, as such, is intimately familiar with the Federal and Texas Clean Air Acts. Prior to joining IT Corporation, Mr. Patrick had worked many years in the chemical manufacturing industry. Mr. Patrick is a licensed attorney in Texas and has obtained his law degree with emphasis in environmental law while working full-time as an environmental professional. His chemical engineering expertise combined with a legal perspective helps him provide unique insight into environmental regulations with innovative compliance approaches. Mr. Patrick has provided expert testimony on various occasions.
